Payroll Officer

For our client, an international industrial group with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and operational excellence, we – tHRee – are looking for a Payroll Officer for its Nivelles site. As part of the People Team, you are responsible for the complete payroll cycle and act as a key point of contact for employees and HR colleagues. You combine administrative accuracy with a thorough understanding of social legislation and personnel administration.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete payroll process from A to Z

  • Prepare and follow up employee files, contracts and social documents

  • Process and verify working time and payroll data

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for both blue-collar and white-collar employees

  • Answer employee questions regarding payroll and social legislation

  • Support HR Managers and the HR Director on payroll-related matters

  • Follow up insurance files and fringe benefits

  • Coordinate supporting HR processes such as fleet management and temporary workers

  • Actively participate in HR projects and optimisation initiatives

  • Stay up to date with changes in social legislation and ensure their correct implementation

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management or equivalent through experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of payroll experience, preferably within an industrial environment or social secretariat

  • Experience processing payroll for both blue-collar and white-collar employees

  • Good knowledge of social legislation and payroll administration

  • Bilingual Dutch and French, with a good passive knowledge of English

  • Good command of MS Office and HR systems

  • Knowledge of e-Blox and/or Protime is an asset

  • Accurate, structured and administratively strong

  • Customer-oriented with strong communication skills

  • Team player who is also capable of taking responsibility independently
